About Fr. Marc Gandolfo, Director of Priestly Vocations at Diocese of San Diego:
Fr. Marc was born and raised in Oceanside, California, where his love for the Church and parish life began at an early age. After years of serving in youth ministry and discerning his vocation, he entered priestly formation for the Diocese of San Diego. He earned a B.A. in Philosophy with a minor in Theology from the University of San Diego and later received a Master of Divinity from Mount Angel Seminary in Oregon. Ordained in 2023, Fr. Marc is passionate about the Sacraments, Scripture, and ministry to youth and young adults. He is dedicated to helping others deepen their love for Christ and His Church.
After ordination, Fr. Marc was assigned as the Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in El Cajon, California. After two years in his first assignment, in June 2025, Bishop Michael Pham named him Director of Priestly Vocations for the Diocese of San Diego, effective August 1, 2025.
Fr. Marc is a vibrant speaker whose love of God and the Church is reflected in all he says and does. His service to the people of God is exemplary and warms the hearts of all who are blessed to hear him speak.
